Alliance Trust is considering the sale of its savings arm
BUYERS HOVER Investment firm Alliance Trust is considering the sale of its savings arm after being approached by several buyers.
The firm has announced profits of £74.1million for the first six months of 2018, up 49 per cent on last year, and hiked its interim dividend by 3 per cent to 6.778p per share.
PORTUGAL DEAL Debt collector Arrow Global has bought the Portuguese property investor Norfin for £15.1million.
REVENUE UP Revenues at insurer Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group rose to £713.5million in the first half of 2018 – up 3 per cent from a year earlier.
But profit fell 9 per cent to £89.4million largely because of restructuring costs at the company, which offers business cover and pension services.
