fans around the world are desperate to get their hands on the Battle Royale game for their Android phone.

Developers Epic Games has said they are working to build an Android version of the game.

But development has proved difficult and a release date has still not been announced.

The popular Battle Royale shooter is available on all other devices, including PC, MAC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.

Epic Games has already grossed more than $1 billion worldwide from Fortnite, despite being a free-to-download game, and they are hoping they can make even more money when it releases on Android.

When does Fortnite release on Android?

Fortnite is by far the most popular video game on the market right now, attracting more than 125 million players worldwide.

Gamers have become obsessed with the Battle Royale mode, which pits 100 players against each other in a last-man-standing deathmatch.

The game has increased in popularity after several pop-culture icons started playing, including Canadian rapper Drake and Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Ali.

Epic Games said they will be bringing Fortnite to Android devices “sometime in the summer”, but have struggled to keep hold of that promise, with no news of an actual release date.

Fortnite released on iOS devices in March, attracting millions of players and generating more than $90 million in just 90 days.

Epic Games has been working to bring the game to the two billion Android users worldwide but have been quiet on when it will actually be released.

Rumours have suggested Fortnite would be released as a 30-day exclusive game for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but Epic Games has not confirmed these claims.

The Galaxy Note 9 will release to general audiences on August 24, so fans are hoping for some Fortnite news in the coming weeks.
