He also warned there will be a “catastrophic” event on Saturday caused by the Blood Moon.
Pointing to a 5.3 earthquake in Hawaii on Friday morning, he said: “It’s only just beginning.”
The Indiana-based preacher said there are many other signs the end of days is coming.
He said the Bible warns the end of the world will be accompanied by “great earthquakes in diverse places”.
The growing fears of World War 3 and the tensions in the Middle East are also a sign of the approaching end of the world, he said.
Begley went on: “Something Biblical is going on.”
And he added: “I’m very worried about an eruption at Yellowstone on Saturday”.
“Something Biblical is going on”
Pastor Paul Begley
Blood Moons are caused by scattered sunlight in the Earth’s dusty atmosphere making the Moon appear red.
For thousands of years, different civilisations have associated the Blood Moon with catastrophic changes and apocalyptic disasters.
The preacher has said the end of the world will not come on Friday “but we are in the apocalyptic times”.
Pastor Begley also referred to the frequency of natural disasters as being linked to the Blood Moon.
He quoted Luke 21:11 from the New Testament, which says at the coming of the apocalypse: “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.”
The Blood Moon is a sure sign of the end of the world, the pastor warned, pointing to Joel from the Old Testament, which reads: “The sun and moon are darkened and the stars no longer shine.”
Friday’s Blood Moon is set to be the longest of the 21st century and will be followed by another total lunar eclipse on the night of January 21, 2019.
This comes as Daily Star online revealed just how common Blood Moons are.
